Greyhounds Announce Booster Club Formation

The Ohio Valley Greyhounds toady announced the formation of the ‘Hounds Fan & Booster Club which will have its initial organizational meeting at Generations Restaurant, 336 National Road in Wheeling, WV on Tuesday evening February 28, 2006 at 7:00 PM. Any and all interested Greyhound fans are invited to attend the organizational booster club meeting free of charge.

Greyhound fans will be able to sign up at the meeting as members of the Booster Club. A number of future activities will be discussed including Booster participation in game day activities, bus travel to away games, fund raising, and other activities and events that will support the team throughout the upcoming 2006 football season.

Refreshments will be served. If you are unable to attend this meeting but would like to join the boosters club, you may call Sharon Stephan at 304-639-8899 to sign up over the phone.

Training camp for the Greyhounds begins March 4, 2006. The Greyhounds 8th season opens Friday March 24, 2006 with an away game with the Lexington Horsemen in Lexington, Kentucky. The Ohio Valley Greyhounds Home Opener is scheduled for Sunday, April 2, 2006 at 6:30 pm at WesBanco Arena against the Evansville BlueCats from Evansville, Indiana.

New season tickets are now on sale for all 7 home games and may be purchased by check, money order, or credit card. Season tickets may be purchased at the following locations: Wesbanco Arena Box Office - 2 Fourteenth Street - Wheeling, WV (304) 233-4470; the Ohio Valley Greyhounds Office - 1310 Market Street - Wheeling, WV (304) 232-4101.
