
Greg Williams Steps Aside as Battle Creek Knights Head Coach

Battle Creek, Michigan- The Battle Creek Knights Professional Basketball Team announces that Greg Williams is stepping aside as head coach of the organization after two successful seasons in the International Basketball League and will not return for the 2007 season.
"The Knights would like to thank Greg Williams for helping lay the foundation of the team's success since day one. Greg helped to bring respect to the Knights & the IBL on and off the court," David Darkey, Battle Creek Knights general manager said.
Greg Williams in two seasons coaching the Knights finished with an overall record of 32 wins and 10 losses, which makes the Knights the winningest franchise in the IBL. Greg Williams led the Battle Creek Knights to the 2005 International Basketball League World Championship and Eastern Division Regular Season Title with a 21-0 record.
"The Knights will be searching for a new head coach for season three to continue the success the team has had for two seasons under Coach Williams," stated Darkey.
