
Greg Ellingson Signs with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

NEW ORLEANS (May 22, 2012) - New Orleans VooDoo wide receiver Greg Ellingson has been placed on other league exempt, signing a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL, announced the team front office on Tuesday morning.
Ellingson (6'3" 197 lbs. Florida International) has 33 receptions for 475 yards and 8 touchdowns in 6 games. He also has 2 carries for 10 yards, while also contributing 4.5 tackles (3 solos) on special teams. His best day with the VooDoo came in a win over the Utah Blaze, catching 11 passes for 167 yards and 4 touchdowns.
"We wish Greg the best of luck in pursuing his dream," said VooDoo Head Coach Pat O'Hara. "He is an outstanding young man and has a strong work ethic."
The Tampa, Fla. native has joined the Bucs immediately.
