Greensboro Swarm Announce Theme and Promotion Schedule for 5th Anniversary Season

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, announced today the theme and promotion schedule for the 2021-22 season. Opening Night, presented by Blue Ridge Companies, is Friday, November 5, at 7:00 p.m. ET against the Birmingham Squadron (New Orleans Pelicans affiliate) at the Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.

Opening Night and the first Hornets Takeover highlight back-to-back games to begin the season on November 5 and 6. The next game (November 10) will recognize active-duty, veterans and their families on Military Night via NBA Cares' Hoops for Troops. In December, the Swarm take on Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico in back-to-back, cross-branded Latin Nights. Later in the month (December 29), the team will host its first Sneakerhead Night.

The first theme night after the New Year is Chick-fil-A Night, presented by Chick-fil-A, on January 15. Two days later, a special 1:00 p.m. ET matinee tip for the MLK Jr. Day Game will take place. Four theme nights are set for February, including Duke/UNC Night (February 4), HBCU Night (February 9), YMCA Theme Jersey Night presented by the YMCA of Greensboro (February 25) and Community Heroes Night presented by Truliant Federal Credit Union (February 25).

To end the season, Women's Empowerment Night (March 10), Front Line Workers Night presented by Novant Health (March 26) and UNC Greensboro Esports, Hornets Takeover Night presented by UNC Greensboro (March 31) complete the theme schedule.

In total, the Swarm will host 15 theme nights over 26 games at the Fieldhouse.

As for promotions, Fieldhouse Fridays return for 2021-22 as well as a special 5th Anniversary $5 ticket offer. For each Friday home game, fans can purchase hot dogs for $1, Pepsi cans for $2 and Natural Light cans for $2, presented by R.H. Barringer. The $5 ticket offer will be available on gsoswarm.com 48-hours prior to home games where 50 tickets can be purchased at the special 5th Anniversary rate.

Fans can also purchase tickets through a variety of options including Season Ticket Memberships, Mini Plans and Group Packages. Single-game tickets are on sale as well.
