GreenHawks Relieve Rob Spon Of Head Coaching Duties

ROCKVILLE, MD.Maryland GreenHawks General Manager announced today that the team has relieved Head Coach Rob Spon of his duties. Otis Hailey has been hired as Head Coach and will begin immediately.

Spon, who coached the PBL's Manchester Millrats last season, started the season off 1-4 with losses coming against Puerto Rico (twice), Lawton-Fort Sill and Buffalo.

"We had high expectations entering this season and we still do," said GreenHawks General Manager Adam Dantus. "Our 1-4 record is not acceptable. We felt as an organization it was time to make a change and we're looking forward to the team moving in the right direction with Otis leading the way."

Hailey has coached in multiple minor leagues throughout the country most recently serving as head coach for the Los Angeles Push during the 2007-2008 season.
