Maryland GreenHawks News Release

ROCKVILLE, MD. Maryland GreenHawks General Manager Adam Dantus announced today the acquisition of Joseph Flegler from the Quebec Kebs for a second round draft pick in the 2010-11 PBL Entry Draft.

Flegler is no stranger to the DC area, having been named All-District and All-Metropolitan by the Washington Post as a three year varsity starter at Woodrow Wilson High School.

Flegler then attended College of Southern Maryland before transferring on scholarship to Savannah State University. While there, he averaged 11ppg as a two year starter. University of Florida Head Coach Billy Donovan called Flegler "The best unknown point guard in the country."

"I really appreciate the opportunity to come home and play for the GreenHawks," said Flegler. "I am committed to do all I can to help this organization be successful both on and off the court."

Flegler was the 2009 second round pick of the Quebec Kebs. He played in 11 games averaging 6.7ppg and 1.4apg including a season-high 17 point performance against the Rochester RazorSharks on February 20th.

Flegler will be in uniform this Saturday when the GreenHawks host the defending PBL Champion Rochester RazorSharks at 7PM at Gaithersburg High School.
