
Great Lakes Loons Add Staff Positions

Great Lakes Loons News Release
The Great Lakes Loons announced today the addition of five employees as full-time staff members.
Christopher Mundhenk, of Altoona, Pa., has been named Assistant General Manager, Marketing & Promotions. Chris is responsible for all facets of entertainment and promotions for the Loons. He comes to the team from the Altoona Curve, the double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the State College Spikes, a short-season affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. In that position, Chris was Director of Promotions and New Business Development. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Otterbein College, Westerville, Ohio.
Greg Kigar, of Gladwin, was named Director of Stadium Operations. Greg joins the Loons from The Dow Event Center in Saginaw, where he has been director of operations since 2005. Before that Greg was Office Manager for Coldwell Banker Kigar Real Estate in Gladwin and spent a year as the Event Manager at Jacksonville Veteran's Memorial Coliseum in Florida. Greg received his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, and has a Master of Science degree from Western Illinois University. He will be responsible for all aspects of stadium operations for the team.
Three employees were added to the sales staff. Justin Davis, of Midland, was added as Group Sales Coordinator. He will be responsible for arranging group outings for community organizations, churches, schools and other groups. Justin is a 2005 graduate of Northwood University with a degree in Entertainment and Sports Management.
Kyle Stratton, of Mt. Pleasant, also will serve as Group Sales Coordinator. Kyle graduated in May 2006 with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management and Communications from The University of Michigan. Scott Tenney, of Battle Creek, has accepted the position of Corporate Account Executive, with responsibility for ticket sales to businesses and corporations. Scott joins the Loons from the Southwest Michigan Devil Rays, where he recently completed a seasonal internship. He currently attends Davenport University where he is completing a degree in Business Management/Marketing.
