Colorado Mammoth News Release
BUFFALO, N.Y. - Colorado Mammoth captain John Grant Jr.'s milestone night wasn't enough on Saturday at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y. as the first-place Mammoth lost, 14-11, to the Bandits. Grant's 700th career assist was part of a third-quarter, four-goal run for Colorado that turned an 8-6 deficit into a two-goal cushion. But Buffalo responded, scoring three of the last four in the frame and then blanking the Mammoth in the fourth, 3-0.
Grant finished the night with eight points (three goals, five assists), matching Adam Jones' output. Drew Westervelt had a game-high four goals, as well as three assists. Dillon Ward made 43 saves in the loss as Colorado concluded a three-game road trip, one in which the team went 1-2.
Colorado returns to Pepsi Center this Friday, March 6 to take on the East Division-leading Toronto Rock on Blackout Night presented by Venture Technologies. The Mammoth will play four of its next five at home.
