
Grady Voted Week Nine National Guard MVP

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze are pleased to announce that QB Tommy Grady (6-7, 245, Utah) has been named the National Guard MVP of the Week for his performance in Week Nine of the 2011 AFL season, as voted on by fans. Grady received over 50 percent of the fans' votes on Facebook.com after helping Utah pick up its fourth win of the season. The 74-71 victory over Georgia boasted one of Grady's best performances of the season. Grady completed a season high 33-of-45 passes for 344 yards and a team record 10 touchdowns. The Blaze rank first in the League in scoring offense (64.7) and total offense (336.7).
The Blaze (4-3) host the Milwaukee Mustangs (2-6) on Saturday, May 14 at 7 p.m. MT.
Other candidates for the award included Orlando QB Nick Hill and Georgia WR CJ Johnson.
The Utah Blaze enter their fifth season in the Arena Football League in 2011and boast one of the top offenses in the AFL. The Blaze return home to EnergySolutions Arena for two back-to-back home games. Utah first takes on the Milwaukee Iron on Saturday, May 14th, 2011 with kickoff at 7 p.m. (MT). The following week, the San Jose SaberCats come to town in their second divisional match-up of the season.
