SALT LAKE CITY - For the second time this season, the Arena Football League fans have voted Utah Blaze QB Tommy Grady the National Guard MVP of the Week. In front of a national audience, Grady tied an AFL record with an astonishing 12 touchdown passes in an 83-63 victory over the Cleveland Gladiators

In addition to his 12 scoring tosses, Grady (6-7, 245, Utah) gained 291 aerial yards while completing 25-of-34 passing attempts (73.5%). The record-setting field general connected with four different receivers for multiple scores, displaying uncanny control of the offense. Grady is just the second player in League history to throw for 12 touchdowns in a single game.

Grady is in the midst of producing the greatest individual season the Arena Football League has ever seen from a quarterback. Despite still having another regular season game left on the schedule, Grady has already smashed single-season League records for touchdown passes and completions. He's also on the verge of toppling all-time marks for passing yards and attempts. Through 17 games, Grady has completed 483-of-701 passes (68.8%) for 5,579 yards with 137 touchdowns and 20 interceptions.

The Blaze (12-5) are riding a six game win streak and have already clinched a playoff berth. If Grady can lead his group to a victory over the Philadelphia Soul (14-3) in Week 20, Utah will secure the first division title in franchise history. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 PM MT on Sunday, July 22nd. The game can be viewed live online by visiting www.ustream.tv/UtahBlaze or www.utblaze.com/live.
