Gourde Is the MeiGray Group/ECHL Alumnus of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Former San Francisco Bulls and Kalamazoo Wings forward Yanni Gourde of the Tampa Bay Lightning is The MeiGray Group ECHL Alumnus of the Month for February.

The leading distributor of game- worn hockey jerseys and "Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the ECHL," MeiGray has sold more than 7,500 jerseys since it became "The Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the ECHL" in 2002-03.

The 26-year-old scored five goals, assisted on 11 others and was a +8 in 14 games during the month. Gourde had at least one point in 13 of 15 games in February including four multi-point games. Overall this season, he has tallied 49 points (22g-27a) in 65 games.

A native of Saint-Narcisse, Quebec, Gourde posted 10 points (4g-6a) in eight games with San Francisco in 2012-13 before recording 34 points (15g-16a) in 31 games with Kalamazoo in 2013-14. He has appeared in 298 career games in the American Hockey League with Syracuse and Worcester, adding 198 points (80g-118a).

Gourde has totaled 58 points (28g-30a) in 86 career games with the Lightning.

There have been 640 players who have played in the NHL after playing in the ECHL including 17 who have made their debut in 2017-18 . The ECHL has had 448 players reach the NHL since 2002-03 when it changed its focus to become the primary developmental league for the NHL and the AHL. The ECHL had 97 players reach the NHL in its first 10 seasons and 215 in the first 15 years. There have been 384 ECHL players who have played their first game in the last 13 seasons for an average of more than 29 per year.
