Green Bay Blizzard News Release

A couple of weeks ago Green Bay Blizzard Head Coach Bob Landsee hinted at his interest of coaching in either Milwaukee or Chicago in Arena Football 1. Today the Milwaukee Iron has announced that Landsee will be their head coach heading into the 2010 season.

Coach Landsee commented on his time in Green Bay, "The Blizzard has always been a people's team, Green Bay has a tradition of great football not only in the NFL but also in arena football. I have been privileged to coach the Green Bay Blizzard and be apart of the happiness that football brings to the city." Landsee's coaching career record in Green Bay was 45-28 including four playoff appearances, two AFC title games and a 2006 ArenaCup appearance.

"The success of the Blizzard comes from the ability to bring in quality players, coaches and staff to run a successful organization which then translates into being able to move these people on to bigger and better places" Landsee said. The Blizzard lead the arenafootball2 (af2) in moving players up to the AFL, CFL and NFL.

"Congratulations to Bob and his family. This is a great opportunity for Bob to move up to a next level and he has been a great friend and ambassador for the organization," said Blizzard General Manager Jim Kraft, "On behalf of the Blizzard organization we wish Bob good luck in his future and we will miss him."
