Goddess auditions begin Saturday

Las Vegas, NV, August 8, 2005 - The Las Vegas Gladiators' Goddesses, under new Goddess Manager Mary Vail, will be looking for the hottest, talented dancers Las Vegas has to offer this Saturday, August 13, at the Lounge inside the Palms Casino Resort when they hold dance team auditions beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Vail comes to the Gladiators as the Goddess manager and is also an independent publicist. She specializes in image building campaigns and focuses her energies on "positive" publicity. She directs all aspects of public and media relations including promotions, marketing, event planning and advertising.

The Gladiators also named Christy Shaterian as the dance team choreographer. Shaterian takes over the role of choreographer after dancing for the Goddesses last season and previously dancing with the Bakersfield Blitz of af2 for two seasons. She also danced competitively for 11 years before joining the Arena Football League.

With the additions of both of these individuals to the organization, the Gladiators look to create one of the most unique dance teams in the AFL.

All of the action will take place starting this Saturday, August 13, at the Lounge inside the Palms Casino Resort, the preliminary audition registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. with dancing beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Finalists from the preliminary auditions will be asked to return for final auditions at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, at the Skin Pool Lounge at The Palms Casino Resort during Skinny Dip.

Promising dancers will need to come dressed to perform with full make-up and hair, jazz shoes, shorts, bare midriffs and light colored fishnets or bare legs. All applicants will need to bring a headshot, resume and a valid photo ID (ID is required at both the preliminaries and the finals). Applicants will be taught several routines for the preliminary audition and will be judged on dance ability, crowd appeal, showmanship, individual resumes and personality.
