DULUTH, Ga. - After a terrific rookie campaign in which he led the team in points, forward Marshall Everson becomes the first signing for the 2014-2015 Gwinnett Gladiators squad. In addition, the team also announced the signing of forward Randy Cameron.

Everson (pronounced EVE-er-son), 23, anchored the Gwinnett offense during his rookie season in 2013-14. The Edina, MN native led the team with 43 points (21 goals, 22 assists) in 53 games, and finished second in goals trailing only Brenden Walker (22). Everson scored his first pro goal on November 9th against Greenville, and went on to finish 15th in the ECHL in rookie scoring while posting nine multi-point games. He also ended the season on a strong note, registering at least a point in 13 of his final 19 games.

"We are excited to welcome Eves back to the Glads," said Gladiators Team President Steve Chapman. "Marshall is a quality individual that plays an intelligent, hard-working game. He has a great shot and that special ability to pot the big goal. He had a solid rookie season with us and we are expecting him to continue to develop both his skill set and his leadership abilities next season. He should be on the radar of a few AHL teams and will be a major contributor to our team goals."

Prior to his time in Gwinnett, Everson racked up 63 points in 119 games at Harvard. After he wrapped up his senior season in 2012-13, he appeared in the final two games in the Peoria Rivermen's AHL history.

Cameron, 25, posted 21 points (5 goals, 16 assists) in 28 games as an alternate captain with St. Thomas University (Canadian Interuniversity Sport) last season to finish a four year career there. During his time with the Tommies, the Cornwall, Prince Edward Island native tallied 66 points (27 goals, 39 assists) in 95 games. Prior to that, Cameron played for the Moncton Wildcats in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for four seasons, appearing in 256 games (72 goals, 125 assists, 197 points). He was teammates with former Gwinnett goaltender Louis Domingue on the 2009-10 Moncton QMJHL Championship team, and was an alternate captain his final two seasons there.

"Randy Cameron comes highly recommended to us by one of our former players, Justin Bowers, who is now the head coach of the Woodstock Slammers in Junior A," said Chapman. "That recommendation carries a lot of weight with us. Randy has put up some quality numbers in the CIS and has the potential to make an impact for us at center and in the room."
