
Gladiators Eliminated From Postseason With Loss to Blaze on NFL Network, 83-63

SALT LAKE CITY - Tommy Grady tossed 12 touchdown passes en route to the Utah Blaze's 83-63 victory over the Cleveland Gladiators on NFL Network Friday night. The loss eliminates the Gladiators from postseason contention with a 7-10 record, while the Blaze improved to 12-5.
Coach Thonn made the decision to go with Matt Bassuener at quarterback in the game, and he finished 25-of-39 for 294 yards and four touchdowns as well as seven carries for 46 yards and two rushing scores. Dominick Goodman nabbed 12 balls for 118 yards and a touchdown. Carlese Franklin had seven catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns with an additional net recovery in the end zone for a score.
Grady was 25-of-34 for 291 yards and had two interceptions to accompany his 12 touchdown passes. Tysson Poots grabbed 11 balls for 110 yards and five scores. Aaron Lesue had seven catches for 109 yards and three touchdowns. Alvance Robinson added four grabs for 65 yards and two scores.
Cleveland's 83 points surrendered were the largest total in a single game in franchise history. Lenny Wicks had six tackles and an interception. Tim Cheatwood had three tackles and 1.5 sacks. Levy Brown led all Gladiator defenders with eight tackles. Keenan Mace had six tackles and two sacks for Utah
The Gladiators will wrap up the 2012 season with a machup against the Chicago Rush on Saturday, July 21st at Quicken Loans Arena.
