SaberCats Host Barnstormers on Saturday Night in Final Home Regular Season Game

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats (11-6) come into their final regular season game of 2012 having already clinched a playoff berth, with postseason positioning still yet to be determined. San Jose dispatched of the New Orleans VooDoo (8-8) 55-31 at HP Pavilion in Week 18. The 'Cats are battling the Iowa Barnstormers (6-10) on Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. PT from HP Pavilion. San Jose will be honoring Arena Football Hall of Famers Sam Hernandez and Barry Wagner by retiring their jerseys during a special halftime ceremony.

San Jose is currently in the fourth and final spot in the National Conference's playoff race. While all four teams in the National Conference are set for the postseason, the seeding is still very up in the air. The SaberCats could potentially still win the Western Division, should they win Saturday as well as have the Arizona Rattlers (12-4) and Utah Blaze (11-5) lose their final two games. San Jose currently holds head-to-head tiebreakers both of the above mentioned teams. San Jose and Iowa last met on April 28 of this year when San Jose dominated Iowa 76-33 in Des Moines.
