Glacier Pulls Away Late in 7-2 Win Over Missoula Friday

MISSOULA MT- The Missoula PaddleHeads would find the lead in the early going in game 2 of a 3 game series opposite the Glacier Range Riders. After trailing in the early going Thursday, this would give Friday night's game a little bit of a different feeling. However, after giving up a home run in the 3rd, Pat Miner of Glacier would settle in only allowing 1 more run the rest of the way. Glacier's offense would then get going with the long ball themselves to get out to the lead. Once the Range Riders found an advantage, they would never fall out of the lead.

Kingston Liniak would put the Range Riders in front in the 4th with a 2-run home run that would give Glacier their first lead at 3-1. The Range Riders would limit the PaddleHeads to just 1 run after the 3rd inning to ensure momentum would stay on their side. Glacier would also stretch the lead to a comfortable margin in the final 3 innings tacking on 3 runs of insurance allowing the Range Riders to cruise to a 7-2 win. This win for Glacier would also be good news for the Billings Mustangs who would move back out on top in the 2nd half standings in the Pioneer League North.
