Toronto, ON - (August 10, 2010) - Cory Boyd, Chip Cox, Tim Maypray and Dave Stala were named the Gibson's Finest CFL Players of the Week for week six, the Canadian Football League announced today.
The four players were chosen by a panel of judges that includes former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde, now of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.
Gibson's Finest CFL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RB - Cory Boyd - Toronto Argonauts

Highlights / Key Stats:
Toronto running back Cory Boyd was unstoppable in leading his team to a hard fought 29-28 victory over the Eskimos this past weekend. Boyd celebrated his 25th birthday by setting career-highs with 25 carries for 164 yards and two rushing touchdowns, including the game-winning TD with under a minute to play in regulation. Boyd's other rushing TD came on a highlight worthy 43-yard effort, which saw him break a number of tackles en route to the endzone.
The first-year Argo also set new career marks with four receptions for 46 yards and a spectacular diving catch for a 14-yard touchdown in the first half.
Overall, Boyd accounted for 210 yards from scrimmage to go along with his three TDs.

Chip Cox played a vital role in helping Montreal's defence hang on for a 30-26 win over the Riders at McGill Stadium. The Als linebacker intercepted Riders quarterback Darian Durant on two occasions, his second coming late in the fourth quarter to preserve the win. Cox added a team-high eight tackles, including one tackle-for-loss and one pass defended in the winning effort. The two interceptions tied a career-high for Cox, who is currently in his fifth CFL season, all as a member of the Alouettes.

Highlights / Key Stats:
The Als' Tim Maypray returned a Luca Congi missed field goal for a touchdown for the second time this season, scoring from 118 yards out in his team's 30-26 win over the Riders. The Montreal return specialist tallied a combined total of 234 return yards with one missed field goal return for 118 yards and one touchdown, six kickoff returns for 109 yards, as well as, one punt return for seven yards.
Maypray also added one reception for seven yards in the Als winning effort.

WR - Dave Stala - Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Winnipeg Blue Bombers 22 @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats 29
Highlights / Key Stats:
Wide receiver Dave Stala provided the clutch performance needed by the Ticats, as they defeated the Bombers 29-22 this week at Ivor Wynne Stadium. Stala racked up 59 yards on four catches, including the game-winning touchdown, a 15-yard reception from Hamilton quarterback Kevin Glenn. The Ticats receiver made two of his grabs late in the fourth quarter to keep a Hamilton drive alive. Stala converted on two second-downs in the process, ultimately leading to an insurance field goal by kicker Sandro DeAngelis, which sealed the victory.
The former Saint Mary's Huskies player is currently in his eighth CFL season, second with the Ticats.
