Giants to Become San Jose Churros for June 16 Game

On Saturday, June 16 the San Jose Giants will rebrand for an evening as the San Jose Churros. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Paul "The Churro Man" Bobblehead giveaway.

San Jose, CA- Churro time! The San Jose Giants are officially rebranding...for one evening. Saturday, June 16 the club will take the field as the San Jose Churros as a tribute to the ballpark's delicious Olimpus Churros made famous by none other than Paul "The Churro Man". The team will wear custom-designed San Jose Churros caps and jerseys and the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative Paul "The Churro Man" bobblehead giveaway. Fans can bid on the jerseys during an in-game silent auction for an opportunity to take home a piece of San Jose Churros history. Winning bidders will receive the jerseys right off the player's backs immediately following the game with an opportunity to have the jersey autographed as well. First pitch for San Jose Churros Night is at 5:00 PM against the Visalia Rawhide.

San Jose Churros merchandise will also be made available in the Dugout Store to commemorate San Jose Churros Night. Fans who would like to secure a San Jose Churros t-shirt can purchase a Special Event Ticket to receive their Churros promotional shirt. The San Jose Churros custom-threaded New Era caps can also be purchased in the San Jose Churros Dugout Store as well as San Jose Churros Baseball t-shirts. Finally, for fans looking to own a piece of Churros history, there will be an in-game silent-auction for the game-worn Churros jerseys. Bidding begins when gates open and concludes at the end of the 6th inning.

Our Giants return to Municipal Stadium on Memorial Day for a homestand that includes 10 games in 11 days. Homestand highlights include a special Memorial Day ballgame, KRTY Community Cares Night with Postgame Fireworks, 1998 Reunion Night complete with more Postgame Fireworks and 1998 California League Championship Replica Ring Giveaway and Pups in the Park Sunday.
