April 5, 2005 - New York-Penn League (NYPL)
New Jersey Cardinals News Release

As the 12th New Jersey Cardinals season approaches, the team has introduced a special ticket promotion. This year, new Cardinals fans purchasing a minimum of two season tickets or any current Cardinals season ticket holder purchasing additional season tickets will receive a special bonus. New Jersey Cardinals Groundskeeper, Ralph Naifeh will make one visit to their residence to cut their lawn. This incentive program is new for the 2005 season and is a special promotion designed to attract new or additional season tickets. Current season ticket holders (who purchase additional season tickets) or any new season ticket holders are eligible to have their lawn cut by Ralph Naifeh. Certain restrictions apply. A copy of the rules and restrictions for this promotion will be listed on the New Jersey Cardinals web site.

Naifeh, with over 17 years experience in grounds keeping, has been with New Jersey since the 1996 season. Ralph, a native of Houston, Texas, also spent time with the Beaumont Gold Gators and the Texas Rangers. Im looking forward to this promotion. Nothing makes me happier than seeing our fans come out to the park and enjoying the experience. This is going to be something special the first time I sit on that tractor at someones home.Said Naifeh.

Highlights for the 2005 season include 15 weekend home dates comprised of (6) Friday, (4) Saturday, and (5) Sunday games. For the fourth straight season the NY-Penn League will have an unbalanced schedule with an emphasis on division rivals. The slate features six home games against the Renegades (Tampa Bay Devil Rays), five versus the Brooklyn Cyclones (New York Mets), five against the Staten Island Yankees (New York Yankees), and five against Cal Ripken Jr.s Aberdeen Ironbirds (Baltimore Orioles).

In what has become a staple of the holiday weekend, the Cardinals will be home the entire July 4th weekend with games on Friday, July 1st & Saturday, July 2nd against Staten Island, and Sunday, July 3rd, and Monday, July 4th against Brooklyn. The promotional schedule has yet to be set, but plans are being developed to maximize our fireworks promotions on the holiday weekend. The Cardinals close out the regular season on Thursday, September 8th at home against Brooklyn.

Gametimes have remained the same with 7:15 PM Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday at 5:00.

Currently the Cardinals are offering fans full season tickets and partial season ticket plans. The full season tickets are priced at $350 for box and $250 for reserved. For the first time ever either a box or reserved season ticket package will include one free seasonal parking pass.
