
Georgia Vs. Jacksonville on NFL Network Sets Record Rating

TULSA - "Arena Football Friday" on NFL Network reached a record high rating during the American Conference Finals featuring the Georgia Force at Jacksonville Sharks on August 8, 2011. The game notched a .32 rating, reaching 183,000 viewers throughout the country. Due to arena scheduling, it was the AFL's first Monday night game on NFL Network during the 2011 season.
"I'm pleased," Commissioner Jerry B. Kurz said. "Because of the popularity and passionate following for the game of football, we knew the NFL Network was an ideal broadcast partner."
The score marked an all-time high in the Arena Football League's second year as broadcast partners with NFL Network. "Arena Football Friday's" previous high was a .24 rating, reaching 134,000 viewers featuring Spokane and Jacksonville in Week 20.
The 2011 AFL season culminates at ArenaBowl XXIV from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, August 12, 2011. The American Conference Champions, Jacksonville Sharks, will face the National Conference Champions, Arizona Rattlers, at 8:30 pm ET on NFL Network.
