SHARKS: This will be the Sharks' first appearance in the ArenaBowl in franchise history... It is the sixth consecutive season in which at least one team in the championship game is competing for the first time (2010 Spokane Shock, 2008 Philadelphia Soul, 2007 Columbus Destroyers, 2006 Chicago Rush, 2005 Colorado Crush and Georgia Force)... Five of those six years, including the last two, the team in the championship game for the first time came away the victor... The Sharks were undefeated in the American Conference this season, but lost four games against the National Conference including the season opener to Arizona... After losing to Arizona in Week 1, the Sharks put together an AFL-record 13 consecutive regular season victories... Jacksonville boasts the league's top-ranked scoring offense, averaging 64.3 points per game... HC LES MOSS and the Sharks have never beaten Arizona... QB AARON GARCIA will be making his first ArenaBowl appearance in his 17-year AFL career... He was 22-of-28 for 313 yards and eight TDs in the American Conference championship game against Georgia... He passed for 259 yards and five TDs with two INTs against Arizona in Week 1 this season... He passed for a career-high 116 TDs this season, one shy of the league record, which Arizona QB Nick Davila tied this season... He ranks second in the AFL, behind Davila, in passing efficiency with a mark of 125.4... He leads the league in completion percentage at 71.5 on the season... His completion percentage of 78.7 in the playoffs this year also leads the league... He was one of only three quarterbacks to pass for more than 400 yards in a game this season (7/15/11 vs. Kansas City)... His is one of only three quarterbacks to pass for more than 300 yards in this year's playoffs (8/8/11 vs. Georgia)... He had five 300+ yard passing performances on the year... He also set single-season franchise records for points (284), receptions (131) and receiving yards (1,737)... He had ten 100-yard receiving performances in 2011... WR JEFF HUGHLEY hauled in seven balls for 168 yards and three TDs against the Force... He ranks second in the league in kick return average at 21.3, trailing only Arizona DB Virgil Gray... His 1,429 kick return yards are a single-season franchise record... He was one of only seven receivers to eclipse the 200-yard receiving mark in a game this season (6/25/11 vs. Tampa Bay)... He finished the regular season with 89 catches for 1,171 yards and 22 TDs... He had five 100-yard receiving performances in 2011... He has a league-high 368 all-purpose yards in the playoffs... He is averaging a league-high 23 yards per catch in the postseason... WR JAMARKO SIMMONS caught six passes for 48 yards and two scores against Georgia... He had a team-high 8.5 tackles against the Rattlers earlier this season... He recorded the second-most tackles in the AFL this season with 119, also a single-season franchise record... He leads the league with 22 tackles this postseason... He collected six INTs and two FRs in the regular season... DB MICHEAUX ROBINSON had three tackles and broke up four passes in the conference title game... He had 7.5 tackles and one PBU against Arizona in Week 1... He recorded a league-record 46 PBUs this season... He has five PBU in the postseason... His 11 INTs is single-season franchise record... He had 114.5 tackles in the regular season... DB TERRANCE SMITH finished with six tackles and four PBUs against Georgia... He had one tackle against Arizona in Week 1... He has 65.5 tackles, six INTs and three FR on the year... K MARCO CAPOZZOLI went 7-for-8 on PATs and made a clutch 33-yard FG with less than one minute remaining to put the game out of Georgia's reach... He scored the first points of the season for the Sharks, nailing a 28-yard FG against the Rattlers in Week 1... He went 4-for-6 on PATs in the game and made both of his FG attempts... His seven made FGs is a single-season franchise record...

RATTLERS: Arizona reaches the ArenaBowl for the sixth time in franchise history, but the first time since 2004... Only Orlando and Tampa Bay have appeared in more ArenaBowls (7)... They have two ArenaBowl championships but have not won one since 1997... Only three franchises - the Tampa Bay Storm (5), Detroit Drive (4) and San Jose SaberCats (3) - have won more than two titles... The Rattlers and Sharks are both 10-1 at home this season... With a win, Arizona would become the first team in AFL history to win 19 games in one season... The Rattlers 16 regular season wins this season is a new league record... Arizona's 61.9 points per game average is second only the Jacksonville's 64.3... Arizona has created an AFL record 54 turnovers this season, translating to a league-best +33 turnover margin... The Rattlers are averaging a league-high 20.3 yards per kickoff return this season and have returned a league-best eight kickoffs for TDs... The Arizona offense has converted on 57-of-92 third down attempts this season, giving them a league-high 62.0 percent conversion mark... HC KEVIN GUY is the only coach in franchise history to reach the postseason in each of his first three seasons...
