Georgia Gwizzlies Gear Up For Season Long Entertainment
October 2, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Georgia Gwizzlies News Release
Macon, GA. The ABA Georgia Gwizzlies have just retained East Coast Entertainment Company to provide local and national recording artists, groups and bans for its 18 home games that start November 24th at the Macon Centerplex. The agreement also provides that the agency will bring performers twice a month from April through October to the Centerplex under the Gwizzlies Foundation.
"This is as good as it can get," said team owner Embry Malone. "With this agreement, the people of Macon and Middle Georgia will have yearly entertainment from pro basketball to gospel, jazz and R & B. We'll announce our first nationally known group around October 15th for the November 24th opener." For more information, email gwizzlies@msn.com or visit www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
