Genesis Jersey Auction Raises $36,257

Moline, IL - The Mallards 11th Annual Genesis Jersey Auction was held on Saturday night and raised $36,257 to benefit the Genesis Senior Compassion Fund. The team has now raised over $520,000 for various Quad City charities during the auction's 11-year history.
This year's jersey featured a St. Patrick's Day theme. The team wore the jerseys during a 7-5 win over the Flint Generals on Saturday night at The MARK. Highlights of the post-game auction included musical performances by Matt Radoslovich and Steve MacIntyre and a bobblehead outfit worn by team captain Patrick Nadeau. Justin Chwedoruk's St. Patrick's Day themed jersey raised the biggest bid as it went for $3,000. (A complete list of auction results is below).
The Mallards are home on Sunday to play the Chicago Hounds. Game time is 3:00 p.m. The first 2,000 fans at The MARK will receive the fourth installment of the Mallards team trading card set courtesy of Portabella's. It's also School Day presented by Alcoa. The jerseys of Nick Harloff, Zack Sikich and Derek Miller were raffled off and raised a total of $2,207 dollards. A Charlie Weiss autographed football was auctioned for $450.
