
Generals to host dance tryouts and basketball clinic

The Lincoln Generals will host tryouts for the dance team, national anthem singers, and a free basketball clinic on August 6.
"This is another great opportunity to make the Lincoln Generals a recognizable name in the community of Lincoln," Matt Starr, GM/VP of Marketing and Sales, said.
Dance tryouts are open to women 18 and older. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Participants will learn the routines and interview before their tryout begins at 1:30 p.m. The fee for dancers trying out is $25.
The basketball clinic, hosted by Generals head coach/VP of Basketball Operations Mark Berokoff, is free of charge and open to boys and girls of all ages. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the clinic scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m.
"We hope this clinic will help us get our name to the youth of the city," Starr said.
Those who wish to try out as a national anthem singer must register, beginning at 12:30 p.m., with tryouts beginning at 1 p.m.
After 10 a.m., the festivities are free of charge and open to the public.
"We want the best dancers on our dance team, and the best singers we can find to perform the Star-Spangled Banner for us," Starr said. Those wish to participate should contact the Lincoln Generals office at 477-5050 or email at lincolngenerals@hotmail.com.
