Generals Team Up With The American Heart Association

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the International Hockey League host the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.

The Generals organization is proud to join forces with the American Heart Association for "Go Red" night. The Generals and the American Heart Association ask all fans to wear "RED" to the game in support of women and their fight against heart disease, the #1 killer of women in the United States.

Generals fans will also be receiving a special Valentine as they enter the arena. Donations will be taken and all donors will be honored with their name on a wall in the arena that will be left up for the entire season.

This partnership with the American Heart Association will continue and culminate with the "Heartwalk" scheduled for May 9, 2009.

"The Flint Generals are very pleased to be a part of this special night for the American Heart Association'" said Head Coach, Bobby Reynolds. "Physical fitness and self-care are most important to everyone's health. This night sends a message to everyone to make a positive and healthly life-style commitment."
