JACKSON, TN - Despite being out-hit 8 to 2 Friday, the Generals (26-25) defeated Montgomery (23-31) for the fourth straight day 2-1 at The Ballpark in Jackson. Leon Landry led the Generals offensively with a single, RBI, and scored the winning run. Both pitchers proved their worthiness as each allowed just one run apiece in the affair.
Montgomery jumped out to the early lead Friday with two outs in the first inning. The first inning run marked the first time in the series the Biscuits had struck first. The RBI was accounted to LSU alum, Mikie Mahtook as Shawn O'Malley scored on the single.
Jackson's Ji-Man Choi (1-3, R, BB) started the second with a single and scored to tie the game after a bases loaded walk to Leon Landry (1-2, RBI, R, BB). The game was tied at 1-1 through the seventh.
