Flint Generals News Release

FLINT, MI - Home Sweet Home...

The Flint Generals hope that will be the case when they return to Perani Arena and Event Center tomorrow (Friday) when they host the Kalamazoo Wings in a huge showdown at 7:30 pm.

The third-place Generals own a one-point lead on the fourth place Kalamazoo Wings in the International Hockey League standings. A victory would solidify Flint's hold on third place and snap a string that has seen the club drop seven of the last eight meetings between the two teams. It's the last visit by Kalamazoo to Flint during the regular season. The Gens still have two trips to make to Kalamazoo in April.

The Generals will welcome back forward Josef Fojtik to the line-up for Friday's game after spending time with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. He joins other regulars Martin Ondrej, Ryan Jorde, Kris Mallette, and Jonathan Duchesneau who were injured.

Flint is coming off a couple of outstanding efforts in Fort Wayne against the Komets were they came close to stopping the home ice winning streak, but managed just one point. The Generals and the Komets meet once more on Saturday night in Fort Wayne at 7:30 pm.

Tickets for Friday's game are available at The Ticketmaster Box Office or on line at www.flintgenerals.com or by calling 744-0580. Group tickets for 15 or more can be purchased by calling the Generals Corporate Office at 742-9422.

Fans can tune into all of the action on Unforgettable 1470 WFNT and www.flintgenerals.com beginning with The Generals Pre-Game Report Protected by Teachout Security at 7:10 pm. Denis J. Puska has all of the heart-stopping action at 7:30 pm. For just $6 fans can watch the game on the web courtesy of the B2 Networks and a high speed internet connection is required in order to view the game.
