FLINT, MI - Perani Arena and Event Center will be the site tonight (Saturday) of a great showdown in the International Hockey League as the Flint Generals host the Port Huron Icehawks at 7:30 pm.
The Generals and the Icehawks are tied for second place in the IHL each with 20 points. If the Generals win this evening and get some help they could move back into first place.

Jordan Fox leads the league in points with 20 but is closely followed behind by Icehawks' outstanding rookie Jamie Carroll and veteran forward Brian Felsner. The contest also features a good goaltending match-up feature the tandem of Chad Alban and Eric Marvin against Marty Magers and newly signed Larry Sterling.
The Generals dropped a 3-2 decision in a shootout last night to the Kalamazoo Wings on home ice. Jordan Fox and Jason Cirone scored for the Generals, while Eric Marvin took the loss in goal. The Icehawks netted a 2-1 overtime win in Fort Wayne last night. Joe Markuson who has recently returned top the line-up from injury scored in the extra session.
