MOBILE, ALA (AUGUST 6, 2013) - The Generals and Mobile BayBears played for 51 minutes on Tuesday, before lightning, hail and heavy rains hit Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile. The game was suspended after a 1 hour and 3 minute delay, with the Generals leading the BayBears 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning. Game two of the scheduled doubleheader was postponed. The conclusion of the suspended game and postponed game will be made up when Jackson returns to Mobile later this month.

The Generals jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead Tuesday as Jack Marder (0x1, R) scored on a Bo Schultz wild pitch in the first inning. Ramon Morla (1x1, RBI) followed with an RBI single that scored Julio Morban (1x2, 2B, R) and Jackson led 2-0 after the first frame. Starter Anthony Vasquez (ND) allowed two hits in three shutout innings on the mound. The stats for the first three innings will not be added to the season totals until the game is completed.

The Generals will now head north to Pearl, MS and begin a seven-game series in five days with the M-Braves on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. (CT). The Braves and Generals will play single games on Wednesay, Friday and Sunday and doubleheaders on Thursday and Saturday.
