Generals Add Three Players Today

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals proud members of the IHL and Double A Affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings announced today that they have added to players to it's roster prior to tonight's game against the Muskegon Lumberjacks at 7 pm at Perani Arena and Event Center.

The Generals announced they have signed a familiar face to fans in right winger Jan Jas. He was let go by the Kalamazoo Wings last week. Jas, a native of Presov, Slovakia played for the Generals during the 2006-07 season and had 15 goals and 31 assists for 46 points in 43 games. This is the 11th season for Jas, who has played in the former WPHL, the ECHL, the ACHL, the CHL and UHL including stops in several cities. He has also played in Austria and in Italy. Jas has netted 138 career goals in his professional career.

The Generals also announced the addition of physical forward Jason McCrimmon who has been summoned from the Detroit Dragons of the AAHA. McCrimmon, a Detroit Michigan native, played 13 games for Muskegon in the IHL last year and had 32 penalty minutes.

In another roster, the Generals brought back forward Derrick Ryan who had played well early on in the season especially in penalty killing situations.The Generals announced that Matt Spezza was waived.
