Klamath Falls, OR - Nick Fisher (Linfield College) and Cole Trezek (Loyola Marymount University) both smacked two run home runs to pace a 13 hit attack and lead the Klamath Falls Gems to a 17-12 non-league victory over the Humboldt Crabs at Kiger Stadium on Thursday night. Both teams combined for 58 runs and 59 hits in a wild two game series.
Campbell Wear picked up his first victory of the year for the Gems, who improve to 20-18 on the year overall and 17-17 in West Coast League play, only three games out of a playoff spot with 20 games left in the season. Humboldt lost for only the 11th time in 41 games as Leland Tilley took his first loss of the year in relief.
