Gems Held To Three Hits In Series Finale, Lose To Kitsap 5-1

Bremerton, WA - The Gems managed only three hits off Kitsap starter Devon Smith (Olympic College) and fell 5-1 to the Bluejackets in the series finale at Kitsap Fairgrounds Park in Bremerton WA on Monday night. Adam Daymude (UC Riverside) drove in the only run for the Gems, who had their four game win streak snapped with the loss.

Scott Burke (University of California Los Angeles) took the loss in his fourth start of the year for the Gems, falling to 0-3 and Kitsap's Smith improved to 3-4 with the win. The Gems move to 21-21 overall and remain five games out of the playoffs in the South Division in the West Coast League
