The Dayton Gems traveled to Port Huron's McMorran Arena to face the Ice Hawks. The Gems veteran A.J. MacLean put Dayton on the board during a powerplay with assists from Corey Couturier and Russ Smith towards the end of the first period, marking the first score of the game. Port Huron was able to tie it up less than 4 minutes later. In the 2nd period, Port Huron would find the net twice. Dayton's Couturier would score on a powerplay only 13 seconds into the 3rd with the help of Smith to bring the game to a 3 - 2 Icehawk lead. Port Huron would finish the scoring with a goal 13:34 into the final period. Final score: Ice Hawks 4 - Dayton 2.

Sunday, March 21st at Hara Arena the Gems will meet the Fort Wayne Komets for a 5pm game on Scout Night. Local scout troops will be recognized at the game. The evening will begin with local country music star Jesse Lyn Fisher from the Lebanon Grand Opry singing the National Anthem. Groups are welcome and fund-raising programs are available. Following the game, be sure to bring your skates for our final Skate with the Team evening for this season.

March 26th at Hara Arena the Gems will face off against the Port Huron Icehawks at 7:30pm. It's an evening of exciting hockey with the King. Elvis will be in the building. Renowned Elvis impersonator, The Key of E will entertain throughout the evening and present a concert following the game. Admission to the concert is included in your admission price for the Gems game. All concert goers must have Gems ticket stubs to attend. There will be an Elvis look-a-like contest as well.

The 1st 1000 fans will receive the 3rd of 4 sets of official Gems Trading Cards sponsored by Color Q of Miamisburg. It's Frothy Friday so it's a night with bargain $2 drafts.

That evening is also the Gems Centerville Community Night. The Gems welcome friends, families, businesses and local groups from Centerville to support their communities. Group seating and fund raising programs are available.

The Dayton Gems in conjunction with Single Source News will be holding a very special singles night on March 27th. Single Source will be on hand with special give-a-ways and drawings. Following the game their will be a mixer and all are invited to join in the fun. Maybe you'll even find Mr/Miss Right at Hara Arena that evening watching the Gems play the Fort Wayne Komets. The games begins at 730pm

That evening is also the Gems Beavercreek Community Night. The Gems welcome friends, families, businesses and local groups from Beavercreek to support their communities. Group seating and fund raising programs are available. Beavercreek schools are encouraged to participate.

Upcoming events include: Trading Card Nights, Generation Dayton Night, Restaurant Employees Night, Jersey Auctions and a visit from the Bud Girls. Don't forget all Wednesdays are Dollar Beer night and Frothy Fridays have $2 drafts.

Monday evenings join the Gems at Fox and Hound in Beavercreek at 9pm as they become Dayton Icon judges. Thursdays have lunch with the players at Brixx downtown. See you at noon!
