Gators release Marketing Plan for 2004-05

Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators plan to increase attendance for the 2004-05 season was unveiled today before a meeting of the Cajundome commission. Group sales and a strong promotion schedule are the keys to a resurgence through the turnstiles in 2004-05.
The IceGators group sales will be anchored by the best value in team history a "10th Anniversary, $10 Dollar Special". Any group of 10 fans or more can get tickets anywhere in the Cajundome, except rinkside, for a price of only $10 Dollars. The IceGators also announced an initiative to expand its sales efforts to a radius of a one hour drive to the Cajundome.
"When the IceGators first started out we were truly Louisiana's hockey team," said Managing Partner John Lingo. "Our goal is to get those fans back, plus increase our group sales with a better value and added time during the summer to get the message out to potential customers"
The IceGators also announced a new focus on promotions during the 2004-05 season. Special nights this upcoming season are scheduled to include: NASCAR Night, Youth Jersey (10th Anniversary Jersey) Night, ULL Celebration Night and for the first time in team history, Bobble Head Nights are planned. The team also announced two other promotional values, "Sunday Is Family Fun Day" and "Cheap Date Wednesday". The Gators will return the "4 for 44 Dollar Package" for every Sunday game plus a post game skate with the Gators will take place after every Sunday contest in the Cajundome. "Cheap Date Wednesday" will consist of a 2 for 1 ticket offer for walk up at the Cajundome box office on game day for every Wednesday night contest. There will also be one food item on Wednesday's that will cost only $1.00. The food item will be different for each game.
"We realize that there are many different entertainment options to our fans" said Communications and Marketing Manager Bruce LeVine." Our goal for 2004-05 is to provide the most attractive package available to the consumers every time we get set to play a game."
