CLEARWATER, Fla. - Wilson Garcia 's hot hitting was not enough to keep the Threshers ahead of the Daytona Tortugas. The two teams played their final game of a four-game series at Spectrum field on Sunday, with Daytona ultimately coming out with the 4-3 win.

Garcia went yard for the fourth time in the last five games. The round-tripper scored two after Derek Campbell reached second on an error at first in the bottom of the first inning.

The Tortugas (34-35, 1-3) had scored first after Daniel Sweet 's single paired with a stolen base set him up in scoring position, and a single by Reydel Medina sent him across the plate.

Up 1-0, Daytona then plated two in Luis Gonzalez and Blake Butler, whose singles to left put a pair of Tortugas on in the second. T.J. Friedl 's grounder up the middle put Daytona up 3-2.

Clearwater (41-33, 3-1) battled back as Simon Muzziotti and Cord Sandberg each singled in the third, and an RBI ground out by Campbell scored Muzziotti to tie the Tortugas, 3-3 in the third.

After a walk to start off the sixth inning and an error on Jan Hernandez at third put two runners in scoring position, the go-ahead run for the Tortugas would come when Luis Gonzalez hit a sacrifice fly to center that scored Chadwick Tromp. Brantley Bell tagged from second and attempt to score on the play as well, but Emmanuel Marrero 's relay throw to Austin Bossart was in time to nab Bell at the plate for the final out of the inning.

Daytona retired 18 straight batters to end the ball game.

Starting pitcher Franklyn Kilome (4-3) recorded six hits and three earned runs with five strike outs over the span of six innings on Sunday.

Will Hibbs recorded two scoreless innings in relief, allowing two hits and one walk, and Jeff Singer pitched a perfect ninth inning.

The Threshers are set to face the Fort Myers Miracle in a three-game series starting on Tuesday with Jose Taveras (5-3) on the rubber against Cody Stashak (3-3). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers.
