Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm host the Sioux Falls Stampede tonight at the Viaero Center following a 3-0 loss in last night's opening game of the Western Conference Final. The Storm will seek to tie the series before it shifts to the Denny Sanford Premiere Center in Sioux Falls, SD this weekend for Game #3 and potentially Game #4. Puck drop for Game #2 of the Western Conference Final is scheduled for 7:05pm tonight at the Viaero Center in Kearney.

Tri-City (3-1, #1 Seed) lost its first game of the 2019 Clark Cup Playoffs last night by a final score of 3-0 in Game #1 of the Western Conference Final. The loss also marked the first time that the Storm have been shutout in four games this postseason. A win tonight by Tri-City would force a Game #4 in Sioux Falls on Saturday night and guarantee two games this weekend at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. The Storm's postseason power play is ranked 5th at 26.7% through four games played, and the team's penalty kill is currently 9th best of team's qualifying for the Clark Cup Playoffs at 76.9%.

Sioux Falls (6-1, #3 Seed) has won its last three Clark Cup playoff games and has outscored opponents 11-3 over that stretch. The Stampede took a 1-0 lead in the best of five Western Conference Final series against Tri-City last night at the Viaero Center in a 3-0 shutout win over the Storm. Sioux Falls got goals in the game from Blake Bride, Andre Lee, and Cade Borchardt. Jaxson Stauber leads all goaltenders this postseason with a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 1.49, and a save percentage of .940. Tonight, Sioux Falls will try to replicate its performance against Sioux City in the opening round by taking a 2-0 series lead over Tri-City. In the Conference Semifinal round against Waterloo, Sioux Falls won the opening game of the series on the road before falling 6-0 in Game #2.
