Game Two of WCL Championship Series Tonight at Goss Stadium

Your Knights took game one of the West Coast League Championship Series 14-3 at Walla Walla and can capture the WCL title with another victory tonight over the Sweets. Come root on the hometown team and enjoy a cold Block 15 brew, priced right. It's a bonus Block 15 Thursday. Be there or be square.

Also, all Corvallis Knights white t-shirts are going on sale tonight at the merchandise stand in the Goss Stadium plaza. Get Knighted and pick-up a Knights' white t-shirt for 50% off the regular price.

The ticket booth and gates open at 6 pm. First pitch is at 6:40 pm. There are plenty of tickets still available. GA tickets are $5 and reserved tickets are $10.

Tonight's probable starting pitcher for the Knights is junior-to-be Max Beatty of Pacific Lutheran. Max went 6-1 with a 2.42 ERA during the regular season and was chosen to pitch in the WCL All-Star Game. The Sweets probable starting pitcher is Kyle Anderson of Cal Poly. Anderson, a southpaw, went 1-2 with a 2.31 ERA over 9 appearances and 6 starts. The senior-to-be struck out 29 over 39 innings pitched and only walked 4 batters this summer.

This past Monday, Knights' pitcher Chase Johnson of Cal Poly and outfielder Kramer Scott of University of Portland were named WCL co-Players of the Week. (read more)
