Tonight's Matchup:
After a four-game winless streak, the Express were able to right the ship on Saturday night with a 2-0 shutout victory over the Kalamazoo Wings. The story of the weekend for the Express was new goaltender Rob Madore, who set an Express record for saves in a single game when he stopped 41 of 46 shots on Friday, followed up a shutout on Saturday night. The Nailers come to Chicago after drubbing the Toledo Walleye 5-0 on Sunday in Wheeling. The Nailers have earned points in four of their last six games, and have allowed just five goals in their last four outings.
Express Notes:
G Rob Madore stopped 41 shots on Friday night, setting a new Express record for saves in a single game. He then earned his first professional shutout in just his second professional game the following night, turning aside all 26 Kalamazoo shots... The Express have scored the game's first goal in four of their last five games, and on the season are 16-5-4 when scoring first... The Chicago power play has been stagnant lately, converting on one of 20 chances during their last six games... D Jonathan Zion has been skating at forward commonly over the past two weeks. He has not lost a faceoff in over 11 seasons of hockey.
