Seattle Sounders FC News Release

The first homestand of the summer concludes as the Rave Green welcomes another visitor from the East Coast. Sounders FC will look to extend its unbeaten streak to six matches on Sunday afternoon against the New England Revolution. First kick is set for 1 p.m. PT on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field and the game will be broadcast live on KONG 6/16.

Seattle then begins its defense of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup championship on Tuesday with a home game at Starfire Sports Stadium in Tukwila against the Kitsap Pumas. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT.

Sounders FC (7-4-7, 28 points) are coming off an exhilarating 4-2 home win over the New York Red Bulls in front of a record crowd and national television audience on Thursday night. Roger Levesque led the way with his first career brace as Sounders FC extended its unbeaten mark to five matches, with four coming this month. Seattle concluded the first half of the MLS regular season last Saturday as Fredy Montero scored the late winner in Toronto.

New England (3-7-6, 15 points) is enduring some tough times in 2011, going the last six games without a win. The Revs, coming off home draws with Toronto and Chicago, have won away only once in the last 14 months and are beginning a stretch in which they play five of their next six on the road. Seattle's only win in the series to date was a 3-nil blowout at home a year ago.

Arlo White will call Sunday's match on television and on 97.3 KIRO FM. Sunday's action can also be heard on La Gran D 99.3 FM.

July begins with two road games, the first being an Independence Day match at league-leading L.A. Galaxy on ESPN2. Sounders FC will also begin CONCACAF Champions League play in late July as they visit Panama's San Francisco FC on July 26 and host the return leg on August 3 at CenturyLink Field.

Tickets for the Champions League match will go on sale July 6 at 10 a.m. and are available at www.SoundersFC.com, by calling 800-745-300, all Ticketmaster outlets and the CenturyLink Field Box Office. Tickets for Tuesday's U.S. Open Cup third-round game at Starfire Sports Stadium are also on sale now.
