What they had to say:
Goalkeeper Jordan Farr
(On Copa Tejas being the first of five trophies last season....)
"It's momentum. Feeling that wave of momentum as we hit the really important parts of the year, really big matchups. For guys that haven't won a trophy in a while, it's huge. So for me, I hadn't won a trophy in my professional career to that point. ... So seeing that, holding that, taking pictures in the locker room in El Paso after that, kind of just gives you the idea of what this is all about. Getting the result, winning trophies, getting to present that to the fans, and so I think that really - for guys that haven't won it, it's going to really push them to want more, for guys that have won it it's going be like 'ok, we're going in the right direction still as last year' kind of a win."
Defender Connor Maloney
(On the significance of winning Copa Tejas last season...)
"I think it makes us want more. We're hungry for every single trophy that we can get ... we're gonna take it one game at a time, and there is a trophy on the line Wednesday. That's what we want right now. We want that trophy. We want it for us, but we want it for the fans and the city. Because we want to be the kings of Texas. And we want to retain that, but when we get one trophy we want more. We're hungry for more. But like I said, one game at a time."
