OVERVIEW - Both teams enter tonight's pre-season game with an abundance of players to evaluate on their roster. In 2004 the Stampeder Football Club finished the season with the leagues worst record, with four wins and fourteen losses. However, they did manage to turn it around a bit near the end of the season defeating both the East (Toronto) and West (B.C.) Division Winners. In Regina the Roughriders finished with a respectable .500 record (9-9) in the regular season. The green and white moved on to the Western Division Semi-Final and defeated the Edmonton Eskimos 14-6. In the Western Division Final the Roughriders lost a nail biter by a score of 27-25. Quarterback Henry Burris finished the game completing 28 of 39 passes (71.8 completion percentage) for 416 yards, 0 interceptions and 3 touchdowns.

LAST MEETING IN REGULAR SEASON â The last time these two teams met was on August 14, 2004 in Regina. The green and white defeated the Stamps in convincing fashion with a 46-16 victory. In 2004 the Roughriders took the season series winning two games out of three. The Stampeders only victory in the series came in their opening game as they defeated the Roughriders 33-10 at Taylor Field.
