Arizona Caliente News Release
The Basics:

Arizona Caliente (5-1) vs. California Quake (3-4)
Game time - 3:05pm (Gates open at 2:00pm)
North High School (1101 E. Thomas Rd. - Phoenix, AZ)
The Scoop:
This will be the second meeting of the 2 teams this season, with the Caliente having beaten the Quake 32-12 in their meeting in Long Beach on September 21st, 2002. Although the California team has a disappointing record this season, they have had a very tough schedule facing the undefeated Sacramento Sirens, as well as the Hawaii Legends (5-1), but are certainly not a team to be taken lightly as they are currently the defending Women's World Bowl Champions. Come support your team - this is the LAST Regular Season HOME game scheduled for the Caliente!
In honor of 9-11, the Arizona Caliente Fall 2002 game admission is only $5.00 for all Public Service Professionals with ID (Police Officers, Firefighters, and Military)
Music and Play by Play Announcing by "The Muddman" - Featured Cheerleaders from Cave Creek
Half Time Drawing featuring gear from Sportacular Events with special guest "number drawer" Lisa Harrison of the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury
Please Remember - Game time is 3:05pm

Also, watch for the Caliente to finally have their match-up with ABC 15's Craig Fouhy. Almost a year in the making, Fouhy, who made some "not-so-supportive" comments last season about women playing football, will be suiting up in pads and will face the Caliente head-on Wednesday November 6th, 2002. Scheduled to air are live shots on the 6:00pm News, as well as follow-up as Fouhy finds out once and for all that these women are the real deal.
Playoff Picture
The Arizona Caliente are primed to be a huge part of this year's WAFC playoff picture boasting a 5-1 record going into their last 2 games of the regular season. Playoff game dates/times and locations will be announced following the Wednesday, November 6th game where the Hawaii Legends (5-1) take on the Sacrament Sirens (6-0) in Sacramento, CA.
