(Phoenix, AZ) - The Arizona Caliente will honor the memory of Arizona football legend and fallen hero, Pat Tillman, with an addition to their website and a remembrance in their 2004 Season Program. The Caliente has added a memorial banner and link from the Caliente website to the Arizona Cardinals' tribute site to their former safety, #40 Pat Tillman.

Pat Tillman gained notoriety in Arizona playing 4 years with the Arizona State University Sun Devils before being drafted into the NFL by the Arizona Cardinals. Tillman, a fan favorite who had already become an Arizona football legend, left a very lucrative NFL contract with the Cardinals in 2002 to enlist in the Army with his brother Kevin.

It has been reported, that while serving his country in Southern Afghanistan, Army Ranger Tillman was killed during a firefight. The news of Tillman's death has shocked everyone in the Arizona athletic community as well as his many fans from across the country. The legacy Tillman has left is not only that of an incredible football player, but moreover that of an incredibly strong and proud American, who has now given the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Courage and bravery are two words that will forever be synonymous with Pat Tillman.

"We (the Caliente) are equally shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of Pat Tillman," said the team's Owner and General Manager, Jennifer Cada. "He was truly an inspiration to many both on and off the football field and will forever be remembered as the hero he was. The Caliente extend our thoughts and prayers to the Tillman family and to all of Pat's friends and fans."
