Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE (25-38-5-2) begin a season-ending home-and-home series with the Red Deer Rebels (27-30-10-3) on Friday.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MDT.

The ICE are coming off a 3-2 shootout loss to the Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday, March 14. 2001-born goaltender Jesse Makaj made his first career WHL start and stopped 29-of-31 shots he faced. The ICE got goals from Brett Davis and Alec Baer. The ICE were outshot 31-27. They went 1-for-2 on the power play, 1-for-1 on penalty kill and won 26 of 59 face-offs.

The ICE have amassed 57 points this season, which is good for fourth in the Central Division and 10th in the Eastern Conference.

The Rebels enter the contest on a three-game winning streak and are three points back of the Lethbridge Hurricanes for the second spot in the Central Division.

The Rebels are coming off a 5-2 victory over the Hurricanes on Wednesday, March 14. The Rebels were outshot 34-25. They went 2-for-5 on the power play, 1-for-2 on the penalty kill and won 29 of 55 face-offs.
