Game at Staten Island Unexpectedly Postponed

April 5, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Atlantic City CardSharks News Release

Atlantic City, NJ, April 5, 2004 — The game scheduled for Saturday, April 3rd between the Atlantic City CardSharks and the Staten Island Xtreme has been postponed due to poor field conditions. The two teams and league officials are working to reschedule the game to a later date.

Head Coach and General Manager, Mike Siani said, "The field was horrible. None of my players wanted to risk an injury and two of the officials agreed the holes and soft spots in the turf were unsatisfactory and unsafe."

The rescheduling of the game is not known yet at this time. The CardSharks are focusing on their first home game this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Boardwalk Hall. Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster at either www.ticketmaster.com or 1-800-736-1420. For more information, please call (609) 264-8700.
