Regina, Saskatchewan - Sam Steel scored three times and Tyler Brown made 41 saves to give the Pats a 5-2 win in game three against the Calgary Hitmen on Tuesday night. Regina leads the best-of-seven series three games to none. Steel scored twice in the first as part of a three goal period. Dawson Leedahl added another and it was 4-0 after 2. In the third, Steel completed the hattrick with a shorthanded goal to make it 5-0. Calgary got two back later in the third but Regina held on for the 5-2 win and are a win away from reaching the second round. Tyler Brown was fantastic making 41 saves for his third win of the series. The Regina powerplay was two for four and the penalty kill five for six while Calgary outshot the Pats 43-34 in the defeat. The Pats will visit Calgary in game four of the best of seven series, Thursday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome at 7 p.m.
