VS. LETHBRIDGE: The annual home and home series to start the campaign kicks off tonight as the Highway 3 rivalry gets started. The Tigers finished the 2014-15 regular season 2nd in the Central Division and are unbeaten in their last 5 regular season home games. This will be the second meeting of seven between these two teams as Lethbridge took the season opener last night 5-1 in front of their home crowd.

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:

Trevor Cox and Cole Sanford led the scoring attack for the Tigers against the Hurricanes last year with 17 and 15 points respectively

Nick Schneider appeared in 5 of the 7 games vs. Lethbridge last year posting a 4-1-0-0 record, a 2.51 GAA and a 0.875 SV % but most fans will be reminded of his goalie fight against Zac Robidoux last season

Over the past 5 years, the Tigers lead the season series with a 25-13-0-1 record

NEW FACES: The Tigers had one of the oldest rosters last season and as a result will now dress 10 new faces in the orange and black this season. Evan Johnson was acquired from the Portland Winterhawks mid-summer to address the vacant hole left by Marek Langhamer, Tamas Laday was traded from Spokane to the Tigers just before the beginning of camp to bring toughness and size to the blueline, while rookies Max Gerlach, Caleb Fantillo, Ryan Jevne, Tyler Preziuso, Brad Forrest and Alexey Platonov were all draft picks of the Tabbies over the past few years. Most recently, the Tigers added Connor Clouston from the Moose Jaw Warriors to bring a veteran and hometown presence. James Hamblin is one of the Tigers most recent 1st Round Bantam Draft picks as will start as a 16 year old in the Tigers lineup and will bring a speed presence for years to come.
