Halifax Hurricanes vs. the London Lightning in Game 1

The Halifax Hurricanes put their stamp on the series early with a 119-106 win over the London Lightning on Sunday in Game 1 of the National Basketball League of Canada Finals in Halifax.
The Lightning had a small lead early in the first, but the Hurricanes managed to win the early quarter. The Lightning fought back in the third, but the Hurricanes were able to rally and put the Central Division champs away in the fourth.
The Hurricanes got huge scoring nights out of three of their go-to options.
Tyrone Watson continued to show off a physical all-around game, scoring 29 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Billy White also netted 29 points and hit three from long range. He pulled down 11 boards and dished out four assists.
The Hurricanes leading playoff scorer Antoine Mason had 25 points and five rebounds.
The Hurricanes' offence was held together by veteran point guard Cliff Clinkscales who found his team's scorers early and often in Game 1, and also found his own offence when the team needed it. He finished the night with 16 points and six assists.
Game 2 of the NBLC Finals will happen on Tuesday, May 8 in Halifax before heading to London, Ontario for Games 3, 4 and five if necessary.
