Green Bay Gamblers News Release
The Green Bay Gamblers faced the Chicago Steel, ending in a 2-0 Gambler win Saturday night at the Resch Center on the night of the Teddy Bear Toss.
Starting the game off strong, Matt DiMarsico scored the first goal with Eli Sebastian and Chris Romaine assisting as fans tossed more than 5,600 teddy bears on the ice. That would be followed by another goal in the first, coming on a power play from Nick Vantassell with assists Barrett Hall and another from Sebastian. The Gamblers would hold that lead for the rest of the game, picking up the 2-0 win and narrowing the gap to first in the eastern conference.
Defensively, Kristoffer Eberly played all 60 minutes, saving all 20 shots on goal to end the game with a shutout. The three stars of the night were all Gamblers with Eberly taking first, DiMarsico second, and Vantassell with the third star.
The Gamblers are back at the Resch Center Friday, March 3. Puck drop is at 7:05PM. Join us for Mental Health Night.
